New Agie Progress
The Agie Progress replaced one of the two Agie Excellence machines. It gives greater accuracy and speed along with the innovations being introduced on V Series wire EDMs such as IPG-V generator and Agievision 5 control based on the Windows XP platform. Processing speed, surface finish and accuracy are all improved, along with the user-friendliness of the Agievision control.
The Progress system's eCut generator technology makes it possible to get surface finishes as good as 0.8 µm Ra with one precision cut - a process that is completed in half the time required by technologies that incorporate a main cut and trim cut. In addition, the faster precision cut requires 40% less filter and resin and results in 60% less wire consumption.
